Salary: £32.05 p/h
Location: Belfast
Hours: 9am - 5pm, Mon - Fri / 37 hours per week
Duration: Temporary ongoing
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified solicitor or barrister, licensed to practice in Northern Ireland, with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of advising on complex legal issues, interpreting legislation, exercising sound judgment, and presenting cases in court. They will bring substantial experience in managing litigation across the Northern Ireland court system, including at least 3 years' expertise in judicial review, coroner's inquests, inquiries, or criminal proceedings.
Essential Criteria:
- Be a qualified solicitor or barrister licensed to practice in Northern Ireland and hold
- Have at least 3 years PQE of advising, orally and in writing on significant complex legal issues to include evidence of the following:
- a) interpreting legislation and legal documents
- b) demonstrating legal analytical ability and sound judgment in the resolution
of complex legal problems; and
- c) communicating with clients with clarity and confidence.
AND
- Demonstrate 3 years PQE, at all stages, of managing a diverse range of litigation cases within the Northern Ireland court system, including practical experience of presenting cases at court
This must include 3 years PQE of legal management and representation at all stages in one of the following three areas:
- Judicial review proceedings
- Coroner's inquests
