Fitter / Welder

Our client based in Fermanagh have a vacancy for a Fitter/Welder

The company has been operating since the 1970's and they are an integral part of larger group. They are constantly evolving through technical innovation, and they are now at the forefront of providing pioneering, cost effective, construction solutions designed to meet the needs of any construction project.

The Role:

As a Fitter/Welder your duties will be

• Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment to ensure quality standards are met and that the maintenance schedule is adhered to.
• Carrying out repairs and maintenance on fixed plant machinery, including hydraulics, welding, conveyor systems, and general fitting work.
• Welding and fabrication using MMA, MIG, Plasma, Oxygen, and Acetylene.
• Conducting Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
• Ensuring that quality and workmanship standards are consistently met.
• Maintaining Health & Safety standards in all tasks.
• Stock control responsibilities to ensure an adequate supply of spare parts is always available
• Working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Hours

• Mon - Thurs 8am - 5.30pm and Fri 8am - 5pm

Experience necessary for the Fitter/Welder

• Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in maintenance repair, fitting, hydraulics, welding, and conveyor systems.
• Ability to work on own initiative with flexibility and self-motivation.
• Awareness of Health and Safety
