Job Opportunity: Financial Reporting SO Accountant
Location: Newforge
Hours: 37 per week
Pay Rate: £38,936
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Financial Reporting SO Accountant on behalf of our client. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who is skilled in financial analysis, thrives on problem-solving, and communicates effectively with both finance and non-finance professionals.
Our client's customers include a range of local, national, and international commercial companies, Northern Ireland and UK Departments, Agencies, and associated bodies in the European Union.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and/or quarterly management accounting reports.
- Analyse and interpret financial data to support informed decision-making.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on financial reporting, accounting requirements, and best practices.
- Lead the preparation of Annual Reports and Accounts in compliance with HM Treasury and Department of Finance guidelines, incorporating GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external auditors, including the Northern Ireland Audit Office.
Essential Requirements
- A qualified accountant
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to solve problems efficiently.
