District Toilet Attendant

Role: Toilet Attendant

Location: Newry

Temporary

Hours of work:

• 36 hours per week

In Return:

• £13.21 Per hour

The Role:

• Securing the toilet buildings may sometimes involve liaising with PSNI to remove members of the public and/or receive crime reference numbers as appropriate.
• Carry out toilet inspections, minor maintenance, report any damage, hazard or loss, request repairs if necessary and take appropriate action to secure the toilet if required.
• To ensure a high level of customer care including keeping of accurate records of cleaning schedules, defects reported and repairs requested.
• To be responsible for the care and proper use of a Council Vehicle in accordance with the drivers handbook.
• To be responsible for the safe handling, use and storage of cleaning materials and chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations.
• To provide assistance, directions, and general information to members of the public within the toilet area.
• To ensure that all Corporate policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. The list of duties / responsibilities must not be considered comprehensive nor exhaustive.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

1. A full current Driving Licence
2. Previous experience of the duties
3. Ability to work on own initiative and working as part of a team
4. Ability to maintain work written records
5. Good Communication skills
