BUS DRIVER | PERMANENT | CORK

This is an amazing opportunity to join Bus Éireann as a driver. This is a full-time permanent position doing 39 hours per week with overtime up to 48 hours. Shits would vary between early,mid & late so there would be some flexibility needed. This role comes with a competitive salary and amazing benefits. The ideal candidate would have resilience, be very customer service orientated and have great safety awareness. If you have a full D license this would be a distinct advantage but Bus Éireann would also assist with obtaining.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES|

Safety & Compliance

• Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

• Conduct pre-service vehicle checks to ensure road worthiness.

Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.

• Wear full uniform, including high-visibility vest when required.

• Maintain schedule reliability and assist passengers with accessibility needs.

• Provide clear and accurate service and destination information.

Communication & Reporting

• Report any vehicle defects or incidents promptly.

• Complete necessary documentation for accidents or operational issues.

• Use onboard technology for communication and service monitoring.

Fare Management

• Collect fares and issue or validate tickets and passes.

• Ensure all passengers have valid proof of payment.

• Reconcile cash and tickets at the end of each shift.

REQUIRMENTS |

• Full Irish D license
• Irish CPC card
• Tacograph card
