Job Title: Administration Officer
Location: Belfast City Centre
Contract Type: Temporary assignment until at least the end of March 2025 (possibility of extension)
Pay Per Hour: £12.59
Working Hours: Full time Monday- Friday (9.00am-5.00pm)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Summary:
The role of the Administrative Officer is to provide an effective and efficient administrative support service, conducting redaction exercises as directed and to undertake general administrative/clerical duties within the Directorate.
Main Duties:
- To undertake general administrative/clerical duties in support of colleagues within the Directorate.
- To undertake routine filing duties ensuring that manual and computerised filing systems and registers are maintained and updates, as necessary.
- To scan relevant documents, as directed by the Investigating Officer.
- To conduct redaction exercises as directed.
- To take notes and record in appropriate filing systems.
- To deal with queries, which may arise in the course of their work, escalating to line manager, as appropriate.
- To answer telephone calls, take messages and pass to appropriate colleague.
- To have responsibility for all records held, created or used as part of the business, including corporate and administrative records whether paper-based or electronic and also including emails, in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- To have due regard to the need to promote equality of opportunity between:

- Man and women in general;
- Persons with a disability and persons without;
- Persons with dependants and persons without.
- Any other relevant duties appropriate to the grade as may be required by line management.
Essential Criteria
Previous experience in an administrative role.
