Rate of Pay:

• £25.82 per hour

The Client: Local Public body based in Lisburn, serving local residents.

Job Purpose:

The post holder will act as a key point of contact for liaison between Northern Ireland Councils and HSENI working with all partners to identify opportunities for closer cooperation and joint working. He/she will drive the continued development and implementation of the District Council and HSENI Partnership by building, supporting and reviewing effective working relationships and processes. This will involve monitoring and making recommendations for the improvement of communication, collaboration and liaison across District Councils, HSENI and their representative bodies and partners on the key issues that will enhance workplace health and safety awareness and compliance in Northern Ireland.

Essential Criteria:

1. A degree level qualification

AND

2. Two years' relevant experience to include each of the following:

• Working in partnership with other stakeholders, across a range of sectors or agencies to achieve specific outcomes
• Evidence of effective project management specifically including:
• Experience of the application and enforcement of workplace health and safety legislation

Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined in 1 above they must demonstrate a minimum of 4 years' experience as outlined in 2 above

3. Full current driving licence and access to a car / *or access to a form of transport to enable the duties of the post to be carried out in full

Desirable Criteria:

4. Practical experience of improving policy and/or strategy in a public sector environment
5. Possession of a formal qualification in occupational health and/or safety/or Environmental Health (minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
