Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Thursday and Friday, 9:00-15:00

The Role

We are currently recruiting a Catering Assistant to support the team at Maghera Day Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely store and transport food, catering supplies and equipment to kitchens, wards and departments.
• Prepare patient meal services, including trays, cutlery, crockery and other equipment.
• Plate, portion and present meals, ensuring correct content, portion sizes, temperature and quality.
• Follow Food Safety Standards, departmental policies, infection prevention and health and safety procedures.
• Prepare and serve meals, beverages and basic food items such as breakfast, vegetables, salads and sandwiches.
• Respond courteously to patients and visitors, deal with routine enquiries and report complaints to a supervisor.
• Monitor and record food temperatures and complete required documentation.
• Operate catering, dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely after appropriate training.
• Carry out domestic cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, walls, sinks, wash-hand basins, work surfaces, cupboards and catering areas.
• Clean kitchens, food trolleys, crockery, cutlery, containers and large catering equipment such as ovens.
