We're recruiting for a Senior Sales Engineer to join a market-leading industrial automation business. The successful candidate will inherit established key accounts across Ireland while driving new business growth within robotics, OEM, machinery manufacturing, and industrial automation sectors. Offering a €65,000 basic salary, €20,000 commission potential, company vehicle, and excellent benefits, this is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially driven technical sales professional looking to take the next step in their career.

This role combines account management, new business development, and technical solution selling within manufacturing, automation, robotics, OEMs, and machinery manufacturing sectors. Working alongside automation and PLC specialists, you will help customers implement solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with engineering, production, maintenance, and management teams.
• Identify customer challenges and recommend suitable automation solutions.
• Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to project completion.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop and deliver customer solutions.
• Maintain accurate sales activity through CRM systems.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in technical or engineering sales.
• Proven track record of account growth and business development.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and industrial automation environments.
• Experience selling technical products, systems, or solutions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full driving licence.
• Currently living in Ireland with full and unrestricted working rights.

Desirable

• Experience within automation, robotics, OEM, machinery manufacturing, or mobile machinery sectors.
• CRM experience (Salesforce or similar).
• Experience selling complete automation solutions.

PLC programming experience is not required.
