Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an Experienced Air Freight Coordinator to join their expanding Air Freight team in Limerick.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will take ownership of international import and export shipments while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth movement of freight worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate international air freight import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Prepare and process all air freight documentation, including MAWBs and HAWBs.
• Prepare customer quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed shipments.
• Liaise with airlines, overseas agents, customs authorities, transport providers and customers.
• Track shipments and proactively provide updates throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Resolve customer queries professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate urgent and time-critical shipments when required.
• Ensure operational systems are updated accurately and maintained.
• Maintain compliance with aviation security regulations, customs requirements and company procedures.
• Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and international partners.
• Work closely with Customs, Ocean Freight, Road Freight, Warehousing and Accounts teams.
• Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• 1-3 years' experience within Air Freight or Freight Forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of international air freight import and export operations.
• Experience preparing MAWBs, HAWBs and shipping documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good IT and administration skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Full authorisation to work in Ireland.

Desirable

• Previous freight forwarding experience.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation.
• Experience handling pharmaceutical, dangerous goods or time-critical shipments.
• Experience using airline booking systems and freight management software.
