Our client, an established manufacturing company are seeking to recruit a Material Planner to join their existing team, based at their site in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh

The Role:

The successful Material Planner will

  • Support material planning activities by monitoring inventory levels and assisting with forecasting to ensure materials are available to meet production requirements.
  • Raise, process, and manage purchase orders for raw materials, goods, and services in line with company procurement procedures.
  • Maintain accurate procurement, supplier, and material master data within ERP systems, ensuring records are up to date.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and lead times, communicating any potential supply issues and helping to resolve them.
  • Obtain supplier quotations, compare pricing, and support cost-saving initiatives while ensuring quality and service requirements are met.
  • Process goods receipts, update material pricing, and assist with invoice and pricing discrepancy resolution in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Carry out stock control activities, including cycle counts and inventory checks, investigating and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Produce and maintain purchasing, inventory, and cost reports to support procurement performance and business decision-making.
  • Provide material availability, pricing, and purchasing information to Planning, Production, Estimating, and other internal stakeholders, including support for new product introductions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, provide general administrative support to the Procurement team, and undertake any other reasonable duties required by the business.

Hours of work:

  • Mon - Fri 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm

Requirements:

The ideal Material Planner will have

  • Previous administrative experience within Purchasing, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, or a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, EFI Radius, or similar would be advantageous.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop within Procurement and Supply Chain.
