Warehouse Operations Manager

Staffline Recruitment Ireland is currently recruiting an experienced and driven Warehouse Operations Manager on behalf of our client in North Tipperary. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-focused operations professional to lead multiple warehouse contracts, develop strong client relationships, and drive operational excellence across a busy logistics environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, maintaining compliance with health and safety legislation, and leading the recruitment and development of onsite teams. This role requires a proactive leader with strong commercial awareness who can implement strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, service delivery, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of warehouse contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as the primary point of contact for operational matters.
• Lead, motivate, and develop onsite management and warehouse teams to deliver exceptional operational performance.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and retention of warehouse personnel.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and all relevant employment and health and safety legislation.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture by conducting regular audits, risk assessments, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor operational performance, productivity, labour costs, and financial performance to maximise profitability.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, implementing strategic processes that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and present operational reports, performance metrics, and business reviews to senior management and clients.
• Manage budgets and control operational costs while maintaining high service standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of recruitment, payroll, compliance, and customer service functions.
• Support business growth by identifying opportunities for contract expansion and operational improvements.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a Warehouse Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, Distribution Manager, or similar senior operations role.
• Strong background in warehouse operations and people management.
• Proven experience managing customer relationships and delivering high levels of client satisfaction.
• Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics processes, and supply chain best practices.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience recruiting, managing, and developing large operational teams.
• Commercially aware with the ability to analyse operational performance and drive profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).

Desirable

• Third-level qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience managing multiple warehouse sites or contracts.
• Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma qualifications would be advantageous.
