PVC Extrusion Process Technician - Manufacturing (3-Shift Rotation)
Location: Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan

A well-established and expanding global plastics manufacturing company seeking experienced PVC Extrusion Process Technicians to join our production team in Carrickmacross. The Role

As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating and optimising extrusion equipment to produce high-quality PVC foam sheet products. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth production runs, maintaining quality standards, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate extrusion lines for PVC foam sheet production
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance
• Perform efficient line start-ups and shutdowns in line with procedures
• Adjust process parameters to maintain product quality within specification
• Carry out die changes as required for production runs
• Conduct visual inspections and measurements to ensure defect-free output
• Identify and troubleshoot product or process issues (e.g. surface defects, colour variation, die lines)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
• Complete quality checks and maintain accurate production and traceability records

About You

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in PVC extrusion (foam sheet experience highly desirable)
• Strong hands-on experience with start-ups, changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Experience in quality inspection and maintaining production records
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations
• Forklift experience is an advantage

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating 3-shift pattern:
  • 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • 2:00pm - 10:00pm
  • 10:00pm - 6:00am
