Location: Various HED Depots (with flexibility to work from other depots as required)

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Responsibilities

• Undertake all joinery work associated with the maintenance and refurbishment of Housing Executive properties, including but not limited to:
• Installation of kitchens to required specifications
• Repair, renewal, and maintenance of internal and external doors, frames, windows, and ironmongery
• Repair and installation of flooring, floor tiles, wall tiles, and application of levelling compounds
• Maintenance of bath panels, skirting boards, plywood ducting, and associated fittings
• Repair and installation of fencing, gates, and related external works
• Form-work, joist and roof truss work, slating, tiling, and flat roof construction
• Repair of guttering, downpipes, and roofline systems
• Installation of plasterboard and dry lining
• Painting and staining as required

Carry out a range of multi-skilled tasks outside core trade without reliance on other trades, including:

• Plastering
• Plumbing
• Painting
• Non-slip flooring installation
• Tiling

Essential Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate:

1. Completion of a recognised Joinery apprenticeship (time-served or skills-based).
2. Minimum of 2 years' post-apprenticeship joinery experience in property improvement or maintenance.
3. NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade (or willingness to achieve within a specified timeframe).
4. Level 2 multi-skilling qualification (or willingness to achieve within a specified timeframe).
5. Ability to work independently across a range of joinery and maintenance tasks (assessed at interview).
6. Good working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation in a maintenance/repair environment.
7. Evidence of:

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Customer-focused approach
• Accurate record keeping and attention to detail (assessed at interview).

Desirable Criteria

1. Experience in response maintenance services.
2. Full driving licence including C1 category.
