Payroll Officer

Job Title: Payroll Officer (Temporary, Ongoing with Potential to Become Permanent)

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join our clients team on a temporary ongoing basis, with the potential for a permanent position. You will be responsible for processing both UK and ROI payrolls in-house and supporting international payroll operations. This role requires precision, confidentiality, and the ability to work under strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process all UK and ROI payrolls in-house accurately and on time.
• Liaise with Bureaus, Accountants, and Finance teams regarding international payrolls.
• Create and maintain staff records on payroll systems.
• Generate reports from TMS to facilitate UK/ROI payments.
• Execute payments via BACS or bank transfer.
• Issue pay statements and statutory documents (P.45, P.60, etc.).
• Administer Benefits in Kind (BIK) through UK payroll, submit HMRC returns, and provide BIK details (car/private medical) to staff.
• Order and maintain childcare vouchers (CCVs) and associated administration records.
• Assess staff for Auto-Enrollment pension scheme eligibility following each payroll.
• Upload and pay all AE and GPPP contributions via Aegon online hub; reconcile and maintain contribution records.
• Handle HMRC, CSA, NICO, and other statutory queries, and arrange payments as required.
• Maintain HMRC Gateway online payments and statutory payment records (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP).
• Respond to employee payroll queries promptly.
• Produce management reports as required.

Essential Requirements:

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
• Proven experience in UK and ROI payroll processing.
• Ability to work accurately under strict deadlines.

Desirable:

• Payroll-related qualification.
• Experience with international payroll.
