Waste Labourer - Mid and East Antrim Borough Council
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is seeking a Waste Labourer to join our team.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Provide general driving support to Operational Services to ensure that all refuse is removed from household, industrial and commercial premises such as houses, shops, schools, business premises for appropriate disposal by working as part of a small team.
Responsible for any vehicle, equipment, passengers etc. allocated for the purpose of waste collection, cleansing, recycling or other appropriate services.
Salary: £26,403 - £26,824 per year
Contracted Hours: 37 hours per week, Tuesday-Friday
Contract Length: 3 months (possible extension)
Location: Larne Depot, Victoria Road, Larne
Shortlisting Criteria
Essential:
At least 1 year's experience in general labouring in an outdoors environment
Awareness of Health and Safety and COSHH legislation
Desirable:
Valid Category B driving licence
Any active penalty points must be declared, assessed for relevance to duties
1 year's experience working in a waste environment
