Technical Support Officer - Belfast
Location: 102 - 2nd Floor Housing Centre, Belfast
* Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible start/finish with core hours)
* Pay Rate / Salary: £19.32 per hour
About the Role:
The Technical Support Officer will support the delivery of the Social Housing Development Programme through the coordination and completion of technical assessments. The Technical Support Officer role involves assessing housing schemes, producing reports and recommendations, and working closely with internal teams and external partners in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and complete technical assessments supporting the Social Housing Development Programme
* Assess project approval applications for design compliance, cost and value for money
* Produce technical reports with clear recommendations
* Undertake pre-assessment discussions with Housing Association partners
* Provide technical advice to external partners and NIHE colleagues
* Audit completed new-build schemes through site visits and document checks
* Maintain accurate project documentation in line with procedures
* Contribute to design standards, best practice and innovation initiatives
Essential Criteria:
* 1-5 years' relevant experience
* Advanced IT proficiency
* Registered Architect or graduate in Architecture with 2 years' experience, or
* BTEC Higher Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) in an Architecture/Construction discipline with 3 years' experience, or
* Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
* Experience of housing scheme design process compliance
* Experience of the housing scheme development process
* Experience of partnership working with key stakeholders
* Experience of technical assessment and report writing
* Current driving licence or access to suitable transport
