About the Role
Staffline Recruitment Ireland is currently recruiting a Logistics Coordinator on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation operating within a fast-paced supply chain and distribution environment.
This is a key coordination role responsible for ensuring the smooth planning, execution, and monitoring of logistics activities across inbound and outbound operations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, transport providers, warehouses, and customers to ensure efficient, cost-effective and compliant logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day logistics activities, including inbound deliveries, outbound shipments, and internal stock movements.
Liaise with transport providers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Monitor shipment progress, resolve delays or issues, and communicate proactively with stakeholders.
Maintain accurate logistics records, documentation, and system updates (orders, deliveries, invoices, PODs, etc.).
Support route planning and load optimisation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, health & safety standards, and relevant legislation.
Manage and resolve delivery discrepancies, damages, or service issues with carriers and suppliers.
Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Operations and Finance teams to support business requirements.
Prepare reports on logistics performance, costs, and service levels.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within logistics and supply chain processes.
Requirements
Previous experience in a logistics, transport, supply chain, or coordination role.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Comfortable working with logistics systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal teams and external partners.
A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
Desirable:
Knowledge of transport regulations, customs, or freight processes (depending on client sector).
Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or distribution environments.
