Rate of Pay: £14.07 per hour
The Client: Local Government body based in Newry, serving local residents.
The Role:
To provide a welcoming and positive first point of contact for callers at Council's Recreational Facilities,
be responsible for handling cash payments and provide efficient administrative support.
Hours of work: 18.25 hours per week
Requirements:
- General reception duties, including the operation of a switchboard and dealing with all enquiries
from the public/visitors to Newry Mourne and Down District Council facilities and directing all
callers appropriately. - Dealing with general information queries where possible and directing calls to officers or other
agencies as appropriate. - Responsibility for carrying out a full range of administrative duties including typing, filing, faxing,
photocopying, and using a full range of Microsoft office applications. - Arranging and maintaining computerised and manual filing systems.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports regarding Newry Mourne and Down District Council facilities.
- Cash handling duties and associated paperwork including receipt of payments, operation of cash
system and the safe keeping and lodgement of such monies in accordance with Council - Day to day responsibility for computerised booking systems and diaries for bookings, including
carrying out any necessary follow up actions regarding booking requirements.
