Band 4 Pathology Tracker
Location: Royal Victoria Hospital
Pay: £13.57
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Job Summary
The post holder will provide support within the Cellular Pathology Department, ensuring accurate pathology tracking, assisting with system updates and validations, and acting as a key point of contact for technical and system-related issues. This role requires strong attention to detail, IT proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Manage failsafe procedures and maintain safety worklists
- Assist in the investigation of erroneous cases
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validation of new pathology systems, upgrades, and patches
- Assist in the deployment of new pathology systems, upgrades, and patches
- Support the rollout and communication of process changes
- Assist in creating and maintaining system documentation, including process maps and test evidence
- Log, track, and help resolve system issues
- Act as a point of contact for technical issues
- Handle new user accounts, password resets, and access levels
- Carry out departmental audits
- Monitor and manage pathology tracking
- Perform any other duties required by the line manager
Essential Criteria
- Experience working within a Cellular Pathology Department
- Experience using IT systems, including Sectra, SharePoint, and WinPath Enterprise
