Are you a motivated, target-driven sales professional with a talent for building strong customer relationships? We are seeking a Field Sales Representative to join a well-established and expanding hardware and building materials company. This is a full-time, permanent role covering the North Cork and North Kerry region, with the requirement to attend the Limerick office approximately two days per week for meetings, planning and coordination.

Due to continued business growth, they are now looking for a Field Sales Representative.
Responsibilities
Before diving into the day-to-day responsibilities, it's important to understand the nature of this role. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, field-based environment where no two days are the same. You will be the face of the company, building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving business growth. With support from the Limerick office you will have the autonomy to manage your territory and directly influence your success.
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve agreed weekly sales targets.
- Proactively build and manage a future sales pipeline, including researching upcoming projects (e.g., via CIS).
- Focus on direct-to-site opportunities within the North Cork and North Kerry region.
- Develop strong relationships with construction, landscaping, and outdoor-building professionals.
Customer Visits & Contact
- Complete an agreed number of on-site customer visits each day.
- Conduct productive phone calls and follow-ups.
- Grow customer networks and add a minimum number of new customers weekly to the CRM.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in the designated territory.
- Attend the Limerick office approximately two days per week for internal meetings, planning, and coordination.
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships through regular engagement with key accounts.
Product & Service Delivery
- Provide expert product advice to support customers with construction and renovation needs.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell to maximise revenue.
- Collaborate with the wider sales team to build effective sales strategies.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely deliveries and excellent customer experience.
Administration & Reporting
- Use CRM software to manage customer interactions, track activity, and generate reports.
- Stay informed on industry trends, new products, and competitor activity.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up actions.

Criteria
- Proven field sales experience, ideally within construction, hardware, timber, or building materials.
- High level of self-motivation and resilience with a strong focus on targets and results.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- Effective time management and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Excellent time-management, organisation-, and coordination skills, and attention to detail.
- Confident with CRM/administration and quick to learn new systems.
- Full, clean driving licence required.
