On behalf of our client based in the Broughshane area we are looking for WELDERS
Temp to Perm
The Maintenance Welder is responsible for performing welding and production tasks when necessary to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of industrial equipment and facilities. This role involves diagnosing issues and performing repairs to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency. Follow health and safety procedures and general housekeeping duties.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and malfunctions.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on welding equipment and other machinery.
- Perform corrective maintenance to restore equipment functionality.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Hours of work: Hours will be variable between 32-48 hours per week as needed. General hours of work will be Monday - Friday 06.00am - 3.00pm, however flexibility to work overtime and/or Saturday as necessary is essential.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in a similar role / proven basic welding experience.
- Previous experience in the manufacturing/construction industries.
- Understanding of Health & Safety at work.
- Flexibility in working hours and strong adaptability skills.
- Good communication and teamwork experience.
- Willing to clean and maintain work area.
- An understanding of both written and spoken English.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in using MIG welder.
- The ability to read technical/construction drawings or bar schedules.
- Counterbalance forklift license or overhead crane license.
- CSR/ First Aid/ Fire Warden Training.
