Quality Control Analyst

My client, a chemical producer and distributor, seek to hire a QC Analyst.

This is a 6 month contract, based in their HQ in Galway.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Quality Manager and team to make sure all raw and finished materials are tested and follow the law.

• Make sure every batch of is tested properly and follows all the correct steps.

• Help write, check, and update the rules and instructions for Quality Assurance (called SOPs).

• Help look into customer complaints and any problems that come up.

• Help prepare Product Quality Reviews and plans to fix problems (called CAPAs).

• Make sure lab tools and machines are checked and fixed on time.

• Help with checking and caring for lab equipment as explained in the rules.

• Help get ready for inspections and audits from the HPRA, and help fix anything found in those checks.

• Make sure the company is following Health & Safety rules.

Requirements

• You need to have a science degree in chemistry and at least 1 year of work experience in a lab that follows special safety and quality rules (called cGLP), approved by the HPRA.

• You also need at least 1 year of hands-on experience using special lab machines called HPLC and GC for testing.
