Pay: £12.40 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time | 39 hours per week over 4 days Mon - Thurs

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a global engineering manufacturer in the Coalisland area for a Paint Shop Operator with experience in spray painting and finishing. This is a highly specialised role working in a high-volume production environment, applying coatings to metal components with precision, quality, and safety.
You'll be part of the paint finishing team, ensuring every component receives the correct surface treatment, coating, and finish to exact tolerances. You'll work with spraying equipment, shot blasting, and prep/finishing tasks, to help deliver high-quality end products.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating spray booths / spray guns to apply wet paint or powder coatings
- Performing steel shot blasting and surface preparation
- Using 2-pack (2K) paint systems (where applicable)
- Loading and unloading parts onto painting jigs and conveyors
- Meeting daily production, quality and throughput targets
- Inspecting painted components against finish, thickness, and defect tolerances
- Handling and safely moving production parts within the paint shop
- Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures (PPE, ventilation, waste handling)
- Participating in continuous improvement and defect-reduction initiatives
Requirements / Skills You Bring
Essential:
- Previous experience in a paint shop / finishing environment
- Solid experience in shot blasting / surface prep
- Experience working within a high-volume production paint line
- Strong attention to finish quality, defect detection, consistency
- Ability to work in a controlled environment (spray booth, clean conditions)
Desirable:
- Experience with 2-pack (2K / dual-component) paint systems
- Understanding of paint chemistry, drying / curing processes
- Knowledge of coating thickness measurement, gloss / finish measurement
- Familiarity with paint mixing, colour matching, and overspray control
- Experience with lean manufacturing / quality control systems
