OPERATIONS MANAGER | CORK | PERMANENT

Our client based in Cork is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team. As Operations Manager you would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day of the transportation department. Salary is DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES|

• Assist Planning & Administration Managers in coordinating daily operations.
• Work with the Planning Transport and Administration Managers to ensure accurate execution of plans and clear communication with customers.
• Coordinate with the Fleet Co-Ordinator for timely fleet maintenance and issue resolution.
• Monitor routes, site times, and driver adherence to schedules, driving operational efficiency.
• Serve as a point of contact for drivers to address concerns and ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with the Operations Director to develop and improve transport planning and management systems.
• Ensure timely communication of instructions and site audits to drivers.
• Set and manage KPIs for the Planning & Administration teams.
• Identify training needs and oversee staff development for operational teams.
• Work with HR to address recruitment needs and staff-related issues, including performance and discipline.
• Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
• Ensure high standards of customer service in line with company values.
• Provide weekly updates on transport operations to the Operations Director.
• Advise on staff performance, discipline, and operational matters.
• Attend meetings as required and provide out-of-hours support when necessary.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS |

• Degree in Transport & Logistics OR relevant Experience
• 2+years of management experience
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
