Mixing Plant Operator

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Mixing Plant Operator to join our clients team in the louth/Monaghan border. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the mixing of all raw materials using a computerised system. This role is crucial to maintaining the quality and consistency of our clients products. All duties should be carried out in accordance with current operating procedures and quality policies.

General Operative Duties:

• Follow instructions from the Shift Supervisor
• Monitor mixing of raw materials to ensure stability, safety, and efficiency
• Start up, shutdown, and operation of facility equipment
• Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot process or equipment promptly
• Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE
• Record and report plant performance and any irregularities
• Material handling
• Housekeeping duties to maintain a clean working environment
• Complete all training as identified by the company
• Perform ad hoc duties as they arise

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly beneficial
• Ideally, experience working to new safety and quality standards
• Pro-active approach, ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience meeting and exceeding production targets
• Punctuality and overall good time management are key requirements
• Effective teamwork and communication skills are essential
• Forklift experience is essential
• Technical/mechanical background is an advantage
