Machine Operative Position
Location: Newry
Salary: £11.44 - £12.40 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Day shift, Sunday to Friday (5 days out of 7), with Sunday work required.
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Machine operator to join our client's dynamic Production Team in the food manufacturing sector. Reporting directly to the Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for the daily operation of packaging machines on a shift basis. Your role is crucial in assisting the Team Leader to achieve all operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and driving continuous improvement within the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Machinery: Ensure the safe and efficient running of equipment, including cutters, packing machines, date/price printing devices, depositors, butter machines, bread feeders, bread collators, and other machinery associated with the production line.
- Quality Assurance: Work swiftly and accurately, adhering to specifications for pack sizes and date coding to maintain product quality.
- Equipment Monitoring: Regularly inspect machinery to ensure optimal performance, perform basic fault-finding and repairs, and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintenance: Maintain equipment cleanliness to ensure optimal operating conditions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment is advantageous.
