Our client, a leading freight company, is undergoing significant growth and is actively seeking a skilled Import Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. This position is office-based, with standard working hours from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Following the probation period, you will have the flexibility to work from home one day a week based on business needs.

YOUR ROLE|

Reporting directly to the Import Manager, you will play a crucial role within the team in coordinating operational and administrative processes related to imports across air, sea, and international road freight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES|

  • Take charge of operational and administrative import processes, including invoicing, job costing, and documentation.
  • Prepare customs entry documentation, ensuring all consignments are accurately completed and invoiced.
  • Arrange and coordinate collections efficiently.
  • Manage tracking of consignments and handle pre-alerts with precision.
  • Deliver timely updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • Resolve customer queries regarding clearance and delivery requirements, consistently striving to exceed expectations for service excellence and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide updates on queries and track shipments, ensuring adherence to compliance and service level agreements.

REQUIREMENTS|

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an administrative import role within freight forwarding.
  • Strong knowledge of the freight forwarding sector, with hands-on experience in international road freight and/or air or sea freight.
  • Solid understanding of Irish customs processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to complete 5-year background check as part of the on-boarding process
