Job description

The purpose of this position is to provide People Management coordination and leadership, under the direction of the HR Manager, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Craigavon Plant. This will be achieved by managing and coordinating the HR business processes by providing direction, guidance, policies, reports and recommendations to the Local Management teams. The role also supports the people management success for all of the Craigavon Plant.

The incumbent will provide professional support in the development of the HR Department's direction to ensure equality, positive Industrial Relations with employees and Unite the Union; innovative and effective Recruitment & Selection initiatives; robust Departmental cost control; the development of HR plans and strategy; support HR Manager in the development, consultation and implementation of HR policies and initiatives site-wide.

Manage the Occupational Health service to provide health and well-being initiatives. Monitor and analyse short and long term absentee data from first day of absence, advise Management on steps to be taken and provide robust and innovative absence management within AOP.

Work with HR Manager to deliver innovative HR Strategy. Support and guide LLT colleagues in order to ensure adequate staffing in line with AOP targets, including proficient temporary staff and succession planning requirements. Encourage and facilitate internal mobility and personal development initiatives. Recruit staff of high calibre to ensure future requirements are met.

Support HR Manager in the development of a working environment/culture conducive to both growth and equality

Actively participate in raising the Company profile in Academic and Employment markets.

Monitor and analyse absenteeism data and initiate preventive and corrective actions to ensure lowest possible absence for sickness. Ensure legal procedures are met. Manage day to day contacts between supervisors and staff in terms of absenteeism. Liaise with external Health Professionals.

Decisions are made in the best interest of the Company whilst maintaining full compliance with Disability Discrimination legislation and avoiding tribunal action.

Manage and provide accurate, up to date data, reports and information within tight timelines that feeds into business processes across the plant and other sites.

Ensure accuracy of Adaptive for headcount purposes (HROne)

Settle on an increase within or under budget as set by senior management whilst maintaining good relations across the Plant.

Negotiation process based on solid, current data and trends

Within AOP targets deliver results that ensure the highest quality standards and provide an uninterrupted service

Delivered, approved budgets

Control adequate, prompt and correct input to Payroll.

University Degree, plus post graduate study leading to Graduate or Associate Member status of the CIPD. Ideally qualified to Level B in Psychometric testing.

5-7 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary HR environment, preferably within a manufacturing environment

Qualifications and experience (CIPD Level 7 Qualification)
