HGV mechanic/ technician

Our client, leading logistic distributor, is seeking to hire an experienced HGV mechanic/ technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing and servicing a range of commercial vehicles. It is a full time permanent role with attractive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repair and servicing of trucks, trailers, and tankers as required.

• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness in the workshop.

• Complete and file all required paperwork accurately in accordance with company procedures, including using platforms such as Fleetminder and Evernote.

• Operate only machinery and equipment for which you are trained and authorised.

• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment, following a systematic approach and adhering to manufacturer specifications.

• Comply with all company management system procedures, including the quality management system and safety systems outlined in the company Safety Statement.

• Actively participate in all training provided by the company.

• Promptly report any quality or safety risks, concerns, or opportunities for improvement to your supervisor or management.
