General/Yard Operative

Job Title: Yard Operative (Immediate Start - 6 Month Contract)

Location: Limerick City

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Day Shift), with rotation to evening shift (4pm to 12am) and occasional weekend shifts.

Salary: €18.50 per hour

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Yard Operative to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks within our yard, including but not limited to general yard duties, cleaning blockages, driving mobile plant, and operating the JetVac and Water Bowser.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting general yard duties to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Cleaning blockages efficiently and effectively.
• Operating mobile plant machinery safely and efficiently.
• Utilizing the JetVac and Water Bowser as required.
• Adhering to all safety standards and regulations at all times.
• Working in accordance with National Regulations and maintaining a high level of safety awareness.
• Willingness to work evenings on rotation and occasional weekend shifts.

Requirements:

• Possession of a valid full driving license.
• Proven track record of demonstrating continuous improvement in previous roles.
• Safe Pass, Mobile Plant, and Confined Spaces Certification (favorable but not required).
• Completed Leaving Certification or equivalent level of education.
• Comfortable working in a union environment (SIPTU).
