Job description

Our Client, A Large Public Sector Organisation based in Coleraine require a Corporate Asset Officer to join their team.

Role : Corporate Asset Officer

Location : Coleraine

Hours of work : 37 hrs per week

Hourly Rate : 1-12 weeks £17.64 13 weeks + £19.35

Main Duties :

  • Implementing recommendations arising from the Transformation Programme by developing a Corporate Asset Management Strategy and implementing arrangements to ensure that Council has a comprehensive Asset Register (including Land, Buildings, Infrastructure Assets, Vehicles, Plant & Equipment and Community/Heritage Assets).
  • Review, preparation and development of Corporate Asset Management Plans for each of Schedule of Council Assets.
  • Preparation and development of a Council Asset register and implementation of a process by which the Asset register can be maintained and updated on a regular basis.

Essential Criteria :

  1. A Diploma/ HND or equivalent level 5 qualification in a relevant discipline, eg Business, Finance, Procurement, Surveying, etc.

Plus

  1. Be able to demonstrate by providing personal and specific examples, that they have at least two years' experience working in an office environment to include all of the following:

    (a)Research, collating information, data analysis and preparing reports.

    (b)Developing strategies and plans.

    (c)Developing and maintaining effective partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders across services and sectors.

    (d)Managing administration systems to deliver projects.

    (e)Records Management.

Alternatively, consideration will be given to applicants who do not possess criteria outlined at (1) above but can demonstrate by providing personal and specific examples, that they have at least four years' experience working in an office environment in the areas outlined at 2 a) - e)

And

  1. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications to include: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A full current driving licence (Category B, valid in the UK) and access to a vehicle that will enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.
