Rate of Pay: £13.26 per hour
The Client: Local Public organisation based in Lisburn, serving local residents.
The Role:
As a member of the Facilities & Resources Team the postholder will be required to:
- Assist the Community Centre Co-ordinator in the day to day running of the centre to include reception, administrative and cash handling processes.
- To assist in the development and implementation of the facility specific Community Centre Development Plan.
- Ensure user groups are effectively supervised in a safe and well maintained environment and that rooms are set up and cleared in accordance with user requirements.
Requirements
- To facilitate and process bookings, in accordance with Council policy, and be responsible for inputting bookings, setting up and clearing away rooms based on requirements, providing refreshments, processing payments and invoices and recording monitoring information.
- Act as a designated key holder for the centre, open and close the facility and be available to respond to an emergency relating to the centre.
- Maintain a high level of customer care and liaise with customers regularly to research needs and encourage optimum usage of the facility through the centres direct programming.
- Be responsible for carrying out operational checks and H&S reviews, prior to commencement of centre activities, at again at the close of each activity, and assist the Community Centre Co-ordinator in conducting risk assessments.
- Carry out cleaning duties, as per rota/cleaning sheets, in order to ensure that the appropriate standard of hygiene is maintained both internally and externally.
- Monitor the movement of users within the facility in accordance with security controls and procedures and be responsible for centre evacuation in accordance with the facility fire evacuation procedure.
- Supervise and operate all centre equipment, undertake regular checks deal with any immediate issues, report faults and assist the Community Centre Coordinator to identify new equipment to enhance service delivery.
Note:
The post holder should be aware that the responsibilities and functional areas of the post may be subject to change as a result of organisational change. The Council therefore reserves the right to change the duties of the post by adding to or amending the range of functional responsibilities. The post holder will be required to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs and requirements of the organisation.
