About the Role

Are you an experienced maintenance professional with skills in plumbing, tiling or wet room installation? We're recruiting a Wet Room Installer to carry out wet room installations and bathroom adaptations within Northern Ireland Housing Executive properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out wet room installations in line with Northern Ireland Housing Executive specifications.

• Remove existing bathroom suites, wall tiles and flooring as required.

• Prepare and plaster walls where necessary.

• Alter pipework and install level-access shower trays and drainage systems.

• Level and install non-slip flooring, including upstands and welded joints.

• Fit wall panels or tiles, showers, wash hand basins, toilets, shower screens and doors.

• Complete preparatory work for extractor fan installations and carry out any additional alterations required.

• Decorate rooms and ensure work is completed to the required standard.

• Liaise with tenants to arrange appointments, organise access and discuss the work required.

• Provide a professional, customer-focused service that maintains the reputation of the Housing Executive.

• Complete all job records accurately and on time, using paperwork and electronic devices where required.

• Work efficiently to meet agreed deadlines and identify opportunities to improve working practices.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following by the closing date:

• At least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar role, carrying out a range of internal and external property maintenance duties.

• Experience in plumbing, tiling or wet room installation. A completed time-served apprenticeship is not essential.

• A full, current driving licence that includes category B1, enabling the post holder to carry out the duties of the role.

• Excellent communication skills.

• The ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.

• A strong customer-focused approach.

• Excellent attention to detail.
