Staffline Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Garage Door Installer based in Ballymena.

Location: Ballymena

Working Pattern: 4-day week, Monday-Thursday
Hours: 7:00 am-4:30 pm or until the work is completed
Rate of Pay: £118 per day
Average Fitting Bonus: £151 per week

About the Role

Staffline Recruitment is currently seeking a Garage Door Installer to join their team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for installing and servicing a range of garage doors and door openers, working with precision and efficiency while ensuring all customer requirements are completed to a high standard.

The role will involve working both at the company's premises and at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and service garage doors and door openers.
• Complete installation work accurately, safely and efficiently.
• Use a range of power and hand tools associated with site and installation work.
• Accurately read measurements and follow written instructions.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Communicate effectively with trade and retail customers and colleagues.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and reliability.
• Undertake training in other areas of the business when required.
• Be willing to work reasonable overtime and, occasionally, away from home.

Essential Criteria

• Recent skilled labouring experience within a mechanical maintenance, fitting, construction or trade environment.
• Recent experience using a variety of power and hand tools.
• Ability to read measurements accurately and understand written instructions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to undertake heavy manual handling.
• Current clean driving licence.
• Reliable attendance and timekeeping.
• Flexible approach to working patterns.
• Willingness to work hard and as part of a team.
• Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable Criteria

• Previous site experience.
• Relevant training cards, e.g. CSR.
• Joinery experience.
• C1 driving licence.

Experience & Training

Previous garage door installation experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

However, at least two years' hands-on experience gained within a construction, engineering, mechanical maintenance, fitting or similar environment would be advantageous.
