Job Description - Hygiene Operative

Location: Genesis Bakery, Magherafelt
Position: Hygiene Operative
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
Pay Rate: £13.05 per hour

Job Purpose:

We are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Operative to join our client's team at Genesis Bakery in Magherafelt. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the site, ensuring a safe and clean working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and maintaining office areas, reception, staff facilities, and welfare areas.
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets and staff amenities to a high standard.
• Ensuring hygiene standards are maintained in line with company procedures.
• Replenishing PPE supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
• Replenishing cleaning materials and other workplace supplies as required.
• Carrying out general housekeeping duties across the site.
• Following health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely in accordance with COSHH requirements.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, shortages, or hygiene concerns to the supervisor.
• Working effectively as part of the hygiene team to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a cleaning or hygiene role is desirable but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing tasks to a high standard.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety and hygiene practices.
• Willingness to learn and follow company procedures.
