URGENT HIRE - Field Service Engineer

Location: Dundalk, Co. Louth
Salary: €45,000 - €70,000 DOE
Start: Immediate

Due to continued growth and an increase in global installations, we are urgently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a successful Irish engineering company with a strong international footprint. This role is available for immediate start and would suit an engineer who can hit the ground running.

The Role

This is a critical position supporting the installation, commissioning, and ongoing service of advanced industrial machinery across Ireland, Europe, and the USA. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and project delivery from day one.

Travel requirement: 50%+ domestic and international travel, sometimes at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and start up industrial machinery at customer sites

  • Deliver operator and technical training to customers

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, and operational issues (onsite and remotely)

  • Provide clear technical feedback and reports to engineering teams

  • Build and maintain strong professional customer relationships

  • Coordinate service visits within a global service team

  • Complete service and expense reports accurately and on time

  • Support in-house showroom equipment setup and maintenance

  • Develop product documentation and customer training materials

  • Deliver formal customer training sessions

  • Conduct application studies where required

  • Create or update electrical drawings and schematics

About You

You are a practical, adaptable engineer comfortable working independently in a customer-facing role and under time pressure.

Essential experience & skills:

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in field service with electromechanical equipment

  • Automation and controls experience

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and/or CAD experience

  • Electrical wiring knowledge and understanding of relevant standards

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits

  • Experience working within a structured support process

  • Strong technical reporting skills
