Forklift Driver

Our client, a leading transportation,warehousing and freight services company in Cork is looking for a forklift driver/General Operative to join their team a on a full time basis.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and shelves efficiently
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure its proper functioning
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
• Administration work which will involve the use of excel to input data.

Hours of Work

• Mon- Fri
• 8am-4.30pm but flexibility will be required to start earlier or stay on later if the business needs it

Requirements for the successful Forklift Driver:

• Must have previous experience of operating a Forklift ( Reach & Counter balance )
• Have a good appreciation for Health and Safety
• Good communication skills and good understanding of English
• Have a willingness to learn and the ability to work as part of a team
• Possess a can do attitude
• Valid Manual Handling Cert
• Needs to be IT literate as admin will be part of the role

Role is an initial temporary 6 month contract with a view to permanency for the right candidate after that.
