My client a leading public sector organisation based in Belfast are currently seeking to recruit a Full-Time Information Standards & Data Quality Officer.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Pay: £15.33 per hour

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Communication and Collaborative Working The post holder will:- * Communicate with a range of stakeholders to assist in the assurance process of Information Standards and related Technical Guidance to ensure consistent recording of information * Work with stakeholders to identify new information requirements and providing support, advice and expertise during the information standards assurance process. * Assist in the production of the required Information Standards Notifications (ISNs) for all approved new information standards. * Assist in the production of the required Data Dictionary Change Notification (DDCN) to communicate any changes to the NI Regional Data Dictionary * Responsible for effective communication of NI Information Standards Group outcomes to HSC Organisations and applicable stakeholders. * Keep up to date with Trust operational practices and processes and take cognisance of these during the standards assurance process. * Support the planning, design and implementation of training programmes to compliment the information standards/technical guidance. This will include writing and evaluating training materials. * Assist in the delivery of training programmes to Trust staff to accommodate different levels of experience. * Act as a focal point for all Trust queries relating to data definitions, information standards and technical guidance through the NI Regional Information Standards helpdesk. * Monitor and review the implementation of information standards/technical guidance and liaise with Trusts on any associated problems. * Liaise with system managers and trainers as necessary, in respect of system functionality and any amendments to this.

Information Management and Analysis * Assist in data quality audits and provide reports of outcomes and recommendations for change, covering a range of systems. * Support the monitoring process to ensure Trust compliance of regional information standards. * Produce appropriate reports for managers to aid the corporate decision making approach. * Be expected to review the reporting requirements of multiple stakeholders in order to meet new or changing needs of their service * Liaise with various staff, both internal and external in order to adhere to deadlines and respond to queries. * Responsible for the allocation and maintenance of reference codes.

Essential Criteria

Degree and at least 1 years' experience in an informatics role OR Worked for at least 3 years in an informatics role Shortlisting by Application Form Experience/ Skills & abilities E2 * High level of data analytics skills * Have experience of planning and organising meetings which may involve many stakeholders. * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written * Excellent skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programmes (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) * Ability to work on own initiative and effectively prioritise own work to meet deadlines * Have good knowledge of legislation relating to data protection and release of confidential information.
