Staffline Recruitment is proud to be a diverse employer, helping people from all over the world find work here in the UK and Ireland. With all the uncertainty surrounding Britain’s exit from the European Union, we understand that this may be a worrying time for you. We want to reassure you that, as the largest employer of EU migrant workers in the UK and Ireland, we’ll support you in applying for settled status. The process is simple and straightforward, and there is lots of help available to you. All of our workers are central to the success of Staffline Recruitment, and we want you and your family members to secure settled or pre-settled status as soon as possible. From 1st January 2021, a new immigration system will be in place for people arriving in the UK and EU citizens moving to the UK will need to get a visa in advance. There is strict criteria and you will require a job offer from an approved employer sponsor to be able to apply. If you are an EU citizen and already living in the UK, you and your family members must apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to continue living and working in the UK after 30th June 2021. The EU Settlement Scheme allows you and your family members to continue to live, work and study here in the UK after Brexit comes into play from 1st January 2021. Gaining Settled Status will mean that you will still have the right to public services (like healthcare and schooling), public funds and pensions, and can apply for British citizenship. You need to apply to this scheme if you are an EU citizen or a non-EU family member of an EU citizen, even if you have a permanent residence document. You do not need to apply if you have indefinite leave to remain or enter, or if you are an Irish citizen. If you have been a resident in the UK for more than five continuous years, you will be eligible for settled status. If you have been a resident for less than five continuous years, you will be eligible for pre-settled status. To apply, you must not be a serious or persistent criminal, a threat to national security, or have a deportation order, exclusion order or exclusion decision against you. Gaining settled status is quick and easy, as there are just three steps: 1. Prove your identity by scanning your passport or EU national identity card and uploading a photograph of yourself 2. Confirm your residence in the UK by providing your National Insurance number or other appropriate documentation 3. Complete a criminality check and declare any criminal convictions You can either apply online or use the app on your Android or IOS device.
