Ensure adherence to the engineering parts budget while maintaining adequate stock of spare and replacement parts to prevent machinery downtime and support the completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Contribute to company growth and sustainability by delivering key engineering projects and achieving considerable cost savings through the reduction of effluent plant output levels. Play a significant role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of the engineering department.
Key Responsibilities
· Responsibility for purchasing of all (non-Capex) Engineering items within budget and managing stock control/storage of same.
· Training and supervision of Stores and Purchasing Controller/Support Engineer.
· Processing of delivery notes and invoices.
· Scheduling and organising external contractors for routine maintenance of site services and specialised equipment.
· Management of engineering CAPEX projects.
· Prepare drawings using AutoCad as necessary.
· Management and processing of general worklist items.
· Ensure Audit/customer compliance.
· Prepare rotas and schedules for Maintenance personnel.
· Efficient running of effluent treatment plant.
· Deliver training to Maintenance personnel when required.
· Configure Microsoft software to capture information as necessary.
· Adherence to Health and Safety, Food Safety policies etc.
Recognised Engineering qualification (HND or above). Experience in food industry.
Minimum 5 years engineering experience and demonstration of hands-on. Competent in use of AutoCad.
2 years supervisory/management experience. Competence in use of a purchasing system. Hands on experience. Experience in training of people. Good communication skills.
Liaison with contractors/other company departments to achieve a good result.
