Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Advisor
Location: London sites
Reports to: SHEQ Manager
Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced Safety, Health & Environmental Advisor to help embed a positive SHE culture across projects. You'll ensure compliance, promote best practice, and support site teams in delivering safe, sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement project-specific SHE plans.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, recommending improvements.
Deliver toolbox talks, training, and health awareness sessions.
Maintain records (C.O.S.H.H., incident reports, compliance logs).
Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
Monitor legislative changes and communicate updates to teams.
Support pre-tender submissions and contribute to CSR initiatives.
Essential Requirements
5+ years in a similar SHE role within construction.
Experience in inspections, investigations, and delivering training.
NEBOSH Construction qualification.
CSR/CSCS or equivalent safety card.
First Aid at Work qualification.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable
Technical knowledge of temporary works, cranes, traffic management, fire safety, and environmental standards.
Project management or additional safety-related qualifications.
Mental Health First Aid or BREEAM awareness.
Skills
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
IT proficiency (Microsoft Suite, SHE systems).
