Quality Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-plan and prepare First Article Inspection Reports for incoming products from Production.
  • Approve first articles by conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting unacceptable parts, and communicating required adjustments to production operators/supervisors.
  • Approve finished products by confirming specifications through visual and measurement tests, and returning products for rework if necessary.
  • Document inspection results, input data into the quality database, and acquire/verify material and sub-contract certificates for submission with FAI & shipping reports.
  • Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions, and arranging repairs and calibrations as needed.
  • Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Verify production first-off and last-off samples by conducting visual and measurement tests to product specifications.
  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of non-conformance, customer complaints, and health & safety issues.
  • Support and assist in maintaining the Quality Management System throughout the organisation.
  • Identify areas for improvement in quality control processes.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Quality Engineers.

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with dimensional measurement inspections using metric and imperial units, and proficiency in the use of calipers, height gauges, and thread gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
