General Operatives

Our client is currently hiring General Operatives to work on their waste management facility based in the Louth / Monaghan region. This role involves working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment, supporting daily waste sorting and recycling operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual sorting and picking of recyclable materials from waste streams on a picking line

• Separating waste types such as paper, plastics, metals, and non-recyclables

• Maintaining a clean and safe work area

• Following site safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE at all times

• Assisting with general site duties including cleaning, sweeping, and basic maintenance

• Reporting any hazards, issues, or equipment faults to supervisors

• Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets

Key Skills and Experience:

Essential:

• Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet for extended periods

• Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a waste-handling environment

• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety regulations

• Team player with good communication skills

• Reliability and punctuality

Desirable:

• Previous experience in waste management, recycling, or manual labour roles

• Awareness of health & safety standards

• Manual handling certificate
