General Operative (Portadown / Armagh)

GENERAL OPERATIVE

PORTADOWN / ARMAGH, CO ARMAGH

MONDAY TO FRIDAY 7AM-5PM

£12.21 PER HOUR

Core Tasks And Responsibilities

1. Involvement in all projects concerning production and light maintenance.

2. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation.

3. Operating machinery safely

4. Assist with the installation of new or relocated machinery / equipment

5. Ensure equipment is properly set up and maintained, monitoring performance and carrying out fault diagnosis and running adjustments/repairs as required.

6. Maintain accurate and organised records of your work, both written and electronic

Essential

- Experience in problem-solving and rectification on a variety of equipment/machinery

· Experience and understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems

· Experience of fault-finding

· Knowledge of production machinery and mechanical equipment

· A full, valid driving licence

· Excellent communication and people skills

· Strong organisational, planning and time-management ability

· Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative

· Previous maintenance experience in a factory environment

· Physical agility and manual dexterity.

Desirable

· Manual Handling

· Forklift License
