Process Operator

Process Operator required for Cork based manufacturing facility.

Position - full time permanent

The operator must be capable of working as part of a very flexible team in a demanding, regulated environment. They are required to proactively contribute to the delivery of manufacturing targets within quality, safety and environmental requirements and on schedule.

Main Tasks:

  • Production of resin (using DCS process instructions)
  • Load tankers
  • Ensure all paperwork is properly completed
  • Monitoring of all plant and process equipment
  • Loading and offloading of raw materials
  • Ensure that the workplace and ancillary facilities are maintained in a clean and tidy state at all times
  • Ensure that changeovers of both equipment and production areas are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Take and deliver samples to the laboratory; and if required complete any in-process testing
  • Carry out minor repairs/adjustments to plant and ancillary equipment where possible and as authorised.
  • General site maintenance (includes outdoor work)
  • Adhere at all times and in full to all Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Be available on occasion to fill in on shift if required.

Relevant Experience

  • A good standard of education is required
  • Several years' experience in a chemical production environment essential
  • Experience handling and working with hazardous chemicals
  • Distributed Control System (DCS) experience essential (Delta V experience preferable)
  • Diligent approach to Health and Safety required.
  • Fork truck and Loadall experience an advantage
  • The ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • 8am-4.30pm Mon- Thurs & 8am-3.30pm Friday

Education:

  • Leaving Certificate (required)

Experience:

  • Chemical, manufacturing & controls: 2 years (required)

Work authorisation:

  • Ireland (required)
