Staffline are recruiting on behalf of NHSCT for a Band 2 Laundry Worker required on a temporary basis based in Ballymoney.
Role: Band 2 Laundry Worker
Rate of Pay: £12.21
Location: The Route Complex, Ballymoney
Hours: 37.5 - Monday - Thursday 7am - 3.30pm and Friday 7am - 12.30pm.
Duration: 2 Month initially
KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sort and classify soiled linen on its arrival to the laundry
- Operate washing and finishing equipment - washer extractor and tumble dryer
- Record weight of linen processed on computer laundry system
- Maintain database for linen distribution throughout the northern trust
- General delivery notes from the laundry databases
- Input data on computerised laundry machine
- Steam clean laundry trolleys and cages in line with infection control guidelines
- Maintain stock levels
- Deal with telephone queries and acute/community staff
- Fold and pack linen for despatch and complete records as required
- Cover any absences in emergencies
- Report mechanical failures, keep machinery and working area clean and tidy
Essential Criteria:
- Knowledge or experience in keeping accurate records.
