Summary
The successful candidate will be part of the despatch department reporting to the Goods Receiving/ Materials Manager. A Stores/Despatch Operative is part of the team, which is responsible for efficiently managing inventory, including product piece parts, finished product and consumables, and for completion of all required UK and Export shipping documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (Includes, but not limited to the following)
* Generating appropriate documentation for all material movements
* Checking job paperwork for accuracy
* Material stock located accurately and in a timely manner
* Communication of shortages and stock discrepancies to relevant departments accurately and in a timely manner
* Location management of new / existing products
* Organising inventory so it is easily accessible and identified
* Ensuring an efficient, tidy, clean and safe working environment in the Despatch and Warehouse areas
* Picking Works orders accurately and in a timely manner
* Picking and packing sales orders with the goal of 100% accuracy and as few back orders as possible. Recording any relevant serial numbers. Packing in a way to ensure customers receive products undamaged
* Maintaining / Invoicing / labelling and associated responsibilities.
* Ensuring Daily / Weekly dispatch targets are achieved / exceeded
* Ensuring materials are issued only where appropriate materials stores requisitions have been provided
* Managing consumable packaging stock effectively / re-ordering
* Ensuring weekly Cycle counting checks are completed accurately and in a timely manner
* Assisting with Stock Taking
* Safety and Security within the stores location
* Fork lift truck in stores and cover as required
* Communicate timely and successfully with all departments
* Co-operation with colleagues to support the business needs
* Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the time frame specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
Qualifications
5 GCSE's, at grade C or above, or equivalent including Maths and English
Experience SAP system experience is ideal but not essential
Manual handling experiences essential
Experience of working in an Operations environment
Additional Skills
Strong team work background
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook is an advantage
Ability to work with detailed information in a structured fashion
Excellent communication and numeracy skills
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
