Sales Executive | FMCG

At Staffline Recruitment we are seeking to recruit a motivated and ambitious Sales Executive with a background in foodservice, wholesale or FMCG. The successful candidate will join a team passionate about providing premium food products with commercial integrity and exceptional customer service.

The purpose of this role will be to partner closely with retailers, caterers and foodservice operators in the Dublin area to deliver marker-relevant lines on time while ensuring a professional and client focussed service.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Managing relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
• Ensure proper product display, shelving, and point-of-sale visibility.
• Implement in-store promotions, branding, and merchandising standards.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and new product launches.
• Monitor stock levels at distributor and retail points.
• Adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and reporting procedures.

Interested candidates will meet the following requirements:

• Proven experience working within the FMCG and/or Foodservice sector.
• A knowledge of Italian food products will be highly desirable.
• Experience meeting and exceeding sales targets and performance goals.
• Negotiation and commercial awareness, including pricing and contract discussions.
• Ability to think strategically about accounts and territory growth.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with customers and internal teams.
• Professional phone, email and face-to-face manner.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and forecasting.
• Strong organisation, time management and planning skills to balance field work and reporting.
• Full, clean driving licence and ability to travel as required for field sales.
• Resilient, proactive and self-motivated work ethic, adaptable in a fast-paced and changing environment.

This permanent position will pay a salary in the region of €35,000 - €45,000, depending on experience along with commission and benefits.
