Are you highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to administration? We are currently seeking a motivated General Administrator to join a busy and supportive office team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick, offering an excellent opportunity to develop a broad range of administrative skills in a stable working environment.

The company is a family-owned Irish wholesale food supplier and distributor. Partnering with trusted local and international producers, they cater to a diverse client base, including hospitality, catering, healthcare, education, and retail sectors. With a strong focus on reliability and customer satisfaction, their dedicated team and fleet ensure efficient and high-quality service tailored to meet the needs of their customers.
The team values reliability, clear communication, and flexibility, and they are now looking to add a General Administrator who can support day-to-day office operations while also providing cover for colleagues when required. This role offers variety, exposure to different administrative functions, and the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues across the business.

Responsibilities

As a General Administrator, you will be responsible for your own administrative duties while also shadowing other team members to provide cover during holidays, sickness, or busy periods. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing general day-to-day administrative tasks;
  • Processing and managing sales orders accurately;
  • Checking and updating reports;
  • Supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable activities;
  • Communicating effectively with internal teams and external contacts;
  • Providing (financial)administrative cover for colleagues as required;
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation is up to date;
  • Supporting office operations to ensure smooth day-to-day running.

  • Salary starting from €30,000 per annum (DOE);

Criteria

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role;
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Confidence in handling documentation;
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks;
  • A background in finance or accounts is beneficial but not essential.
